Here’s some Pre-Alpha play of Apex
The rounds of Apex are set up and ready to play, Next step is deciding what to do once you return to your home town after beating the tournament.
Some features I’m planning on implementing:
-Weapon/armor upgrades slots (operational)
-Learn new skills in menu by paying gold or maybe other currency (planning stage)
-Mutually Exclusive Alignment System – depending on your choices throughout you gain “light side” & “dark side” points, but they are mutually exclusive meaning you the dark and light points don’t effect each other.
Ex. you have 20 dark and 20 light. normally you’d be neutral and get 0 different speech choices. In Apex, you’d have an extra 2 dark and 2 light responses despite both being even.

I promise you guys I’m not dead! I’ve just been preparing some in-depth projects that required a lot of time and concentration. This one I’m working on is called “Apex” and RPG maker game that I’ve been slowly working on over the last year or two in order to showcase my love of game design and music since most people say my music would be great for video games. They upgraded RPG maker so I had to transfer all the info over from there postponing my video.
Apex is set on a planet where they have an annual tournament to determine who the strongest warriors of the land are called the “Apex Warrior”. The point of the game is explore the planet while defending your title as Apex.
Extra Credits is an amazing YouTube Channel that teaches complex video game design principles in a concise and digestible manner. I recommend it for anyone trying to learn a little bit about how games are created. This one is about the difference between Graphical capability and Aesthetic Choices

So I found this app on my iPod, called Tap Studio 3. It’s guitar hero-esque game where you create a tap pattern to a song and you play them trying to hit the tap pattern accurately. Below is a video of me playing my song “What Angels Dance To” on insane difficulty. I can also share songs with others so if you have the app and want to play let me know!
